Haryana Govt's Sankalp Yatra: bridging the gap with the people
Haryana Government initiates Sankalp Yatra to connect with the masses
The BJP-led Haryana government is gearing up for the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,' a nationwide campaign aimed at enhancing public awareness about various government flagship schemes. Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Rajesh Khullar, conducted a review meeting on Saturday in preparation for the yatra, set to commence on November 30.
Festive and informative approach
The virtual meeting, attended by administrative secretaries and deputy commissioners, emphasized making the yatra festive and celebratory. The primary objective of the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' is to connect with eligible individuals who haven't availed government schemes due to lack of awareness or other reasons. The campaign plans to interact with beneficiaries, gather insights through testimonials, and provide a platform for direct feedback.
Wide coverage across states
The yatra aims to reach almost every gram panchayat in the country. In Haryana, it will cover 6,537 locations, while Punjab and Himachal Pradesh will see coverage in 13,646 and 3,799 locations, respectively.
A fleet of 129 Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) vans will traverse urban and rural areas in Haryana and Punjab. These vans, equipped with audio-visuals, brochures, pamphlets, booklets, and standees in local languages, will focus on crucial areas such as sanitation, financial services, electricity, cooking gas connections, housing, food security, healthcare, and clean water.
The 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' signifies a concerted effort to bridge information gaps and ensure that eligible individuals benefit from government initiatives.
