CM Chandrashekhar Rao acted in frustration

The arrest of the Telangana BJP chief is murder of democracy: JP NADDA

JP Nadda, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), criticised the arrest of Sanjay Bandi, the party’s Telangana unit chairman, for allegedly breaking Covid-19 procedure, calling it a “glaring example of democracy assassination.”

He claimed that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao acted out of irritation as a result of the BJP’s recent bypoll victory and widespread popular support in the state. Kumar was arrested by police in Karimnagar on Sunday for allegedly violating the Telangana government’s guidelines for preventing the spread of Covid-19. Kumar had planned to stage a protest in support of teacher’s demands.

Teachers and Telangana government workers, according to Nadda, came to Bandi’s office to discuss the instructions. Bandi, along with BJP officials and workers, sat on the vigil and fasted in solidarity with the agitating employees, according to him.

Nadda claimed that the Telangana government was “afraid of nonviolent protest.” He described the BJP leaders’ “huge use of force and organised attack and violence” as “nothing but an act of political revenge and political anarchy that was prevailing in the state.”

The arrest of Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay is highly condemnable and amounts to the murder of democracy. He peacefully staging a protest following all COVID protocols in his office. Police forcibly entered his office & manhandled him: BJP president JP Nadda.
